Last week ended with one of the most anticipated events in the world of spirits industry – China Wine Awards. More than 100 judges tasted 2,000 wines and spirits from 35 countries. If the Russian vodka and French wine in the list of gold medalists will not surprise anyone, it does not mean that there were no surprises.
Perhaps the main surprise China Wine Awards 2012 was a triumph for Australian winemakers. Just imagine, they have collected as much as 68 gold medals! And it was, and silver. A consultant contest noted that this year Australia made the breakthrough, significantly improving the quality of the wine. So success was well deserved.
