China is on its way to become the 3rd largest export market for Aussie wines. Exports to China by volume increased an astonishing 565% between 2001 and 2010. That is 2.6m cases, and an increase of 565,000 cases over 2009! At the same time, the average price per litre of Aussie wine exported to China went up 185% from 2005 to 2010; and China is now paying more per litre of Aussie wine than the USA.
