China Wine & Spirits Awards 2013 : Serious Sips
The annual drinks fest that is the China Wine & Spirits Awards (CWSA) hosted
its 4th major annual competition, the China Wine & Spirits Best Value 2013,
on 4th March at the ballroom of the Mira Hotel in Hong Kong.
Deemed the biggest wine competition in Hong Kong and China, the CWSA are the
only awards in the world judged specifically for the China market and is entirely based
on consumer preferences and demand. In addition, the CWSA are unique in that the
competition is open for entry to both producers and distributors looking to enter and
succeed in China.
According to Ms. Kelly England, CWSA President, wine sales hit record highs in
2012, with every major wine-producing country in the world seeking to boost sales in
China and Hong Kong. ” Everyone from Bordeaux to Brazil is talking about Hong
Kong and China as THE ultimate wine market and the CWSA uniquely lets the most
famous brands in the world compete with boutique wine artisans to reach the ultimate
CWSA gold standard,” she said.
