Woolston spirits business wins gold at international event
A FAMILY business from Woolston has won big at the most influential wine and spirits awards in the world.
Riverside Spirits won a gold and silver medal at the CWSA awards 2022.
The CWSA is the most influential judging body in the world for spirits and liqueurs – they sell over 75 million bottles of wine and spirits every year.
The Woolston business won a gold medal for its passionfruit gin liqueur and a silver medal for its 10th Anniversary London dry gin.
This year’s CWSA event was the 23rd annual event and was the largest event held so far.
Riverside Spirits said: “Being alongside the finest brands in the world and triumphing is a significant honour.
“Winning at CWSA is the ultimate accolade for the wine and spirits industry, and for retail buyers.”
Cath Thomas, Sales Manager, said: “Having won 27 awards last year, these two awards add to an existing 11 so far this year from the London Spirits Competition 2022.
“For the passion fruit gin that takes its total to five awards alone – all of these awards are proof that we’re doing things right!
“We are a small family-run business based in Woolston and having recognition on this stage really is amazing and something that we’re all proud of.
“All of our products are vegan-friendly and gluten-free and we have 29 flavours in our range of gin, vodka, rum and whisky liqueurs.”
