
One South African winery is leading the way in China. The family owns 4 wineries including CWSA Medal Winners La Motte and Leopard’s Leap. They are reaping the rewards of their long term strategy. According to Marius Kotze, the sales director, they account for 30% of all bottled South African wine sold in China, and now make a 10-15% higher margin on each bottle of Leopard’s Lead sold in China than the same one sold in Europe.
