The 30th Vinexpo, held in Bordeaux, has released it’s visitor numbers and Asia now dominates with more than 33% of all trade visitors coming from this fast emerging market.
Add to that the EUR333 million worth of Bordeaux wines imported last year, and Sotheby’s statement last week that 70% of their global wine sales in 2011 are now in Hong Kong, you can see why the big boys are moving in on this market.
