Spanish Wines sales enjoyed the highest growth to Hong Kong EVER SEEN during the first half of 2013 according to Observatorio Español del Mercado del Vino (OEMV). The superb data shows the increased sales are led by a boom in sparkling and bottled wines. Australian wine export earnings are forecast to increase by 10 per cent in the 2013-14 financial year, according to the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES). ‘The growth in that market is going to be reflected in terms of those higher returns’ said Paul Morris (ABARES). Volume increases are a hot and common topic here in Hong Kong and China with growth expected to rise further in 2014 as a new generation of wine drinkers join the fastest growing wine and spirits market in the world.
